Born and based in San Diego, California, Thomas Alan Connor is a seasoned singer-songwriter known for his expressive vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and dynamic stage presence.

Legendary Tenure with Blood, Sweat & Tears

Thomas joined the iconic jazz-rock band Blood, Sweat & Tears in 2006, stepping in after the departure of David Clayton‑Thomas. He fronted the band on and off for 14 years, continuing through 2019 . His time with the band placed him within a legacy of genre-blending innovation and dramatic musical arrangements.

Solo Projects & Original Music

Alongside his work with BS&T, Thomas embarked on a long-standing solo path, leading the Thomas Connor Band. Known for delivering music that’s simultaneously powerful yet subtle, soulful yet gritty, his projects include critically crafted records such as Past Due, Teach Peace, The Process, and It’s Time .

Thomas’s origins in the local scene include performing with the influential San Diego band The Rock, which garnered attention from major labels like Atlantic, Chrysalis, A&M, and Giant Records. Together, they released two albums: Reunion of Souls and Love Is The Light .

Viva Santana & Touring Legacy

For over three decades, Thomas was the driving force behind Viva Santana, a tribute ensemble that achieved success touring Las Vegas and performing across Southern California, Arizona, New York, the East Coast, and Mexico. His tenure with Viva Santana solidified his reputation for delivering electrifying and authentic live performances.

Present Day: BLU & Acoustic Songcraft

Today, Thomas leads the San Diego-based blues-rock powerhouse BLU (Binding Love Unites), infusing dynamic performances with emotional depth and conviction.
